You can try to disable windows firewall.
Control Panel --> Windows Firewall --> Turn Windows Firewall on or off and deactivate it.

If you can ping then you should enable the firewall again and add a firewall rule.

chander: Yes, vmnet0 is already set to briged, but your VM isn't using vmnet0 but vmnet8. Change the settings for the virtual NIC (not for the network) and try again.
