Find printer location and printer type

Hi,

Is it possible to find the printer location and printer type (whether it is local or network) using command in Linux ?

Thanks in advance.

No... not in the general case. There are a variety of network printing protocols out there... and the ability to query the end device will vary.

Btw, Windows can't do this either... so if you disagree, then I suggest you really don't have a general case, but something more specific.
