uw-imap

Hi guys.

Is uw-imap maintained? according to their ftp site last version is imap-2007e.
is it good to use uw-imap instead of dovecot or other imap daemons? which one do you suggest? I really have problem with dovecot. it's configuration is complex(at least for me). I don't prefer much configurations like dovecot. Virtual users, acceptable security and some other basics are enough.

The last version bump went from 2004 to 2007, so it seems to be updated, just infrequently. Checking gentoo portage shows it's considered stable on 8 different architectures though, including weird&wonderful ones I've never seen; perhaps there's not a lot of maintenance left to do anymore.
