Data Password cannot be circular shift of logonid

Hi ,

I am getting the below error if i am trying to set the passwd of a user:

New password:
Password cannot be circular shift of logonid.

is there a way thru which i can set the passwd of the user same as the username.

Thanks & regards,
Sagar.

Mostly it means that the login name and the password on this system must differ substantially.
Are you using a password same as the username or the current password?
Try another password.

If you are particular about having the password same as the user name, you can explore user settings in sam. I do not remember the exact parameter to change, and I don't have a HP-UX system with me now to check.
