Install Patch on ServiceGuard environment

I have two hpux11iv1 on ServiceGuard.

I need to backup my hpux 11iv1 by EMC backup software.
but before i install client agent, i need to install two software patch:
1. J4256AA HP-UX IPSec
2. IPv6NCF11i HP-UX 11iv1 IPv6

I wantna know if i installed two software patch have any impact?
or anything i need to attention? or suggestion?

Are the two servers HW identical? Do you have an internal DAT device ?

rp84 and rp74. no DAT device.

Hum.. not the same...
Those two "patches" to me look more like new products...
So I hope you have other HP boxes and that one is a Ignite server... Check for that and do a "golden Image".
I cant see a HA server without having internal boot disks in mirror, so one option is to split the mirror, install and test and if no issue, synchronize vg00 again...

Impact:
Have you checked you have all the prerequisites? ( I cant check, I cant get my connection to work properly at HP anymore and am completely lost in their new messy site, things were for more clear during the ITRC days...) I'm sure there are a few for IPSec I think relies on OpenSSL ( I installed a few years ago and remember something of the sort...)
Then It will ask for reboot...
