Hard Drive Temperature?

Hi,

I just set up a raid Z array in solaris xpress and I notice that the drives feel pretty damn hot. I use speedfan to monitor the temperatures of the hard drives in XP. Is there a similar program for solrais? I assume there would be since the drives all have temp sensors in them, but I couldn't find anything. I guess I can log in and out of xp to see what is going on, not the best solution though.

Of course if I was smarter I could write my own program...

It depends on the hardware, but prtdiag can be used to show temperatures.

That gave me:

# prtdiag
System Configuration:
BIOS Configuration: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 07/07/2006

So in other words nothing. Did I use it correct or is my hardware not supported? I've got 6 HD (5 are 750 gb samsungs and the other a 160 GB WD), running a AMD sempron on a ECS motherboard with ATI 1150 Ex onboard graphics. All are supported under Solaris, but maybe not their sensors? Do I need to get a seperate thermocouple?
