format 2nd scsi drive

I have an sco unix v/386 version 4.26 open server. I need to add a 2nd scsi hard drive. I don't know how to partition & format it as a bootable drive & mount it.

I know this is easy but I'm not familiar.

Thanks

I have removed the duplicate thread from the "for Dummies" forum.

Formatting is more DOS terminology than it is Unix. You'll want to create partitions with fdisk, make a filesystem with mkfs, and then add it to /etc/fstab. Now; I'm no SCO man (this is Linux info here) but it should be similar as long as no RAID/LVM/etc is in effect.

man fdisk
man mkfs
man fstab

You might want to look at some SCO Documentation - this is for Openserver 5.0.7 so your milage may vary.

Cheers
