In other to help people understand this, I will flush the iptables (remove all rules) and list the results:

Code:
linux# iptables -F


linux# iptables -L
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination         

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination         

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination
