What are you expecting from the firewall? What services do you have running that need to be accessible from outside (VPN, webserver, mailserver)?

And definitely, what OS do you want to use?

Hi Spynappels,

The services that need to be accessible is VPN.
The operating system I'd like to use, is Linux (Centos or Ubuntu).

Ok, as you're using Linux, iptables would be the best bet here. You simply create a script which loads the rules at boot. Before I give any more concrete suggestions, could you just confirm which type of VPN you are using and whether you run any other services such as a web or mail server behind this firewall?
