Help with replacing hdisk1

Hello,
I have a P-series running AIX 5.3 and hdisk1 is failing.
hdisk0 and hdisk1 are mirrored rootvg.

My question is, I have an expansion cabinet that has two disks in it that I believe have never been used. I want to replace hdisk1 with one of the unused disks. (hdisk36 or hdisk37)

How can I make 100% sure these are not in use?

The command at the bottom of this page is lspv and it shows hdisk36 and hdisk37, they are not in a vg and I think are just disks that have never been used.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Dan

Mod Comment Posters should be careful when cutting-and-pasting into a post. In the post above, I wrapped the text posted by DanCampbell in 'no parse' tags, and then wrapped this yet again in code tags. We can easily see it is just a "cut-and-paste" mess; which we cannot take seriously. Thread closed.
