i have mounted one nfs mount point but i has no write permission on it.
when i am going to make a directory it is giving an error
# mkdir 1
mkdir: Failed to make directory "1"; Permission denied
i shared using command
# share -F nfs -o rw -d "backup" /backup

I have a Linux nfs server (called server100 below) with a export nfs. My problem is that the Solaris client (called client100 below) doesn't seems to like it. When i see in the /var/adm/messages, i saw the following error

Hi all
i have done set up for nfs.
at server
<dir> <client IP>/<netmask>(rw,sync)
at client
mount -o rw -nfs <server IP>:<dir1><dir2>
with this i am successful in mounting the directory with write permission.
But the write permission is not activate in client machine for the file which... (5 Replies)
