Operating Systems AIX Sudo issue

I think my first theory of a somehow corrupted "/etc/sudoers" is proven wrong. There might be a remote chance of some hidden control characters (check with "vi"'s list mode), but i doubt it.

It is time to generate some logs and analyse these. Add the following to your "/etc/sudo.conf" (depending on the sudo version you use this might differ):

Code:
Debug sudo /var/log/sudo_debug all@warn

where "/var/log/sudo_debug" is your sudo log file - change it to accomodate your installation. Probably there are already some logs there which you could analyse.

I hope this helps.

bakunin: when i insert the code that you gave me to the sudoers file when i try to save i get an error saying that there is a syntax error in that line.

ibmtech: the user is "logon" here is the output:
lsuser logon:
logon id=284 pgrp=staff groups=stuff home=/export/home/logon shell=/usr/bin/ksh roles=

about the cat command im typing: cat .profile logon
getting error saying "cannot open .profile"
