Hello Gang

Can you please help me in installing EN_GB UTF-8 on AIX 5.3 .
I have worked on Solaris and Linux, but not familier with AIX so hoping if someone show the roadmap.

-->  CULTURAL convention to install  (F4 or Esc+4 to expand) 
--> Search (EN_GB)  -->   UTF-8      English (Great Britain) [EN_GB]

Thats it.

I am not sure, but I think you need to reboot the box, for the language to be effective. Let me know on this, if you find some.

If you use NIM server, then it is the answer.

I think locales cannot be directly installed via NIM - at least not to my knowledge. You can NFS-export the "/exports" directory (or some subset thereof) from the NIM server, NFS-mount it on the client and then do like you described above. This is actually what we do as it is the closest you can come to a real NIM-installation.

You do not need to reboot.

smitty nim_inst_all  --> select the target node --> select the resource
 --> software to install (open it up using esc+4 or F4) - Here I search for EN_GB
