rsync daemon
Does anyone out there use rsync on AIX 5.2, I've installed and would like to run in server mode, I've setup in services and inetd.conf and refreshed inetd. The rsync daemon however does not start, I've also tried rsync --daemon, this just returns to the # prompt. The rsync command itself appears to work fine so does this imply the daemon has actually started and that I just don't see it (via ps) ?

I have established that it does in fact run fine and is listening as it should. I only one query now relating to password, when the client attempts to make a connection or I rsync to another rsync server a password is required. Is there a parameter to switch off the password request ?
