errpt not giving a result

my system get rebooted by its self after its came up i try to check the error log

P690/>errpt | more
Cannot open error message catalog /usr/lib/nls/msg/en_US/codepoint.cat.
The error report will still run, but it will not have explanatory messages

P690/>ls -lrt /usr/lib/nls/msg/en_US/codepoint.cat
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 0 Jan 20 2008 /usr/lib/nls/msg/en_US/codepoint.cat

Could you run

Quote:
lslpp -l | grep -i codepoint.cat
It should give you two returns. If not you might need to install bos.msg.en_us.rte

I have got it from here and it seems it helped.

I just noticed that file of yours /usr/lib/nls/msg/en_US/codepoint.cat is empty. I am not sure if it should be I don't have right now access to lpar to check it out.
