Hi anybody know how to dynamically add a virtual ethernet to a running LPAR using the HMC CLI?

ram1729 - Thanks but i need command line as i have loads to do and is easier to just change the lpar name in a command

zxmaus - Thanks but this link only show the command to add to the profile via the command line i need to add it dynamically

Requirement: I need a HMC command to add a virtual ethernet to an LPAR with a slot number of 3 and a VLAN of 192 'DYNAMICALLY'. I know how to add it to the profile via the command line but don't want to reboot the LPARs.

pwright84- I think "chhwres" is the command you need to use.
