Seeking Paid AIX Support ? anyone know where ?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows about getting support for AIX ; This forum is a great place but if it has a section for $$$ AIX support where the experts can analyze and answer the questions/queries of the posters ?

Is it possible to get any paid support on this forum ?

LOL do you think free support is worth less? I am sure Neo don't mind some donations for the forum Smilie

But now seriously ... there are thousands of AIX contractors out there and IBM offers payed support in form of maintenance contracts and separately payed consultancy if you need it.

This forum is excellent place for AIX information. with some nominal fees or as zxmaus suggested donation to the forum, it could be help both sides.

Paid support from IBM is very expensive and I know how retain works. Most of the time you find the solution on this forum or on google than RETAIN SUPPORT ENGINEERS.
FOR EMEA REGION = europe middle east africa
the call center for IBM is Russia. i don't know if they have moved somewhere else.

I've often had the idea of creating a forum that is subscription based, where a person or their company can pay the monthly or yearly subscription fee for access to a special forum where they can post a bit more privately. Then, the forums would distribute the profits (quarterly perhaps) from that forum to the folks who lead the support there.

However, as mentioned, there does not seem to be much support or interest in this type of forum, and the standard open forums provide such great answers, that we have not tried this approach.

The support (here) is great, already and we have a great open community. (Thanks!)

filosophizer, what are your requirements you are not getting here now? More privacy?

IMO, paid support brings obligations like response time, quality of reply etc, it is not possible unless untill there are dedicated and certified paid support personnel which I think forum can't afford to have, quality at unix.com is superb even though it is absolutely free, paid subscription will not make any difference without some kind of contract/agreement, otherwise same team will be available on paid forum and response time will be same as well.
