Hmm, no links for 6.1 explicitly, but this one was quite informative and should help you along:

IBM: AIX - SVN on AIX ?

I hope this helps.

Well!! I have downloaded Subversion from CollabNet - The Leader in Distributed Application Lifecycle Management extracted it but there is segmentation fault error
Code:
  ./svn --version
Segmentation fault(coredump)

and creates the core file...
when I check ldd path it seems to be OK
Code:
  ldd svn
svn needs:
         /opt/subversion/lib/libsvn_client-1.so
         /opt/subversion/lib/libsvn_wc-1.so
         /opt/subversion/lib/libsvn_ra-1.so
         /opt/subversion/lib/libsvn_ra_local-1.so
         /opt/subversion/lib/libsvn_repos-1.so

I see no compiled version for AIX on the link you posted. Maybe get the source and compile it yourself.

Never heard of that "Leader in Distributed Application Lifecycle Management" but from a look at their homepage I feel they have no AIX expertise. I would go for Michael Perzl's package.
