system is not booting ... i want to restore from mksysb backup.

Hello,

First analysis why your system is not booting.it may be because of your hardware failure. in such case mksysb restore wont help you.

>in which media you are having mksysb image?
> are you usin NIM in your env.?

Call IBM support seems to be the appropriate action.

> System not booting
> hardware error
> panel error code
> disk failure
> disk corruption
> o/s corruption
> where do you have the mksysb image ? CD/DVD or tape ?
> does the system has CD DVD drive or tape drive
