20EE0008 : No adapters found Adapter, Riser, System Bd.

Hello,

When I try to upgrade AIX from 5.1 to 5.3 I get this error message

20EE0008 : No adapters found Adapter, Riser, System Bd.

Anyone know anything about it ?

No configurable adapters found in the system by the remote IPL menu in the SMS utilities
This error occurs when the remote IPL menu in the SMS utilities cannot locate any LAN adapters that are supported by the remote IPL function. If a supported device is installed: 1. Replace the adapter. (See notes on page 417.) 2. Replace the I/O subsystem backplane in the subsystem(s) containing the device/adapter.

Are you trying to boot over the network?

Does your system support AIX 5.3?

Does your current system firmware support AIX 5.3?

What system type is it and what is the firmware level?
