ok thanks, finally I figured out.
The weird thing is that, by default, hp-ux doesn't create the device file for the serial ports. So the process would be this:
1-ioscan -C tty -fn
2-/usr/sbin/mksf -d asio0 -H (port address shown on ioscan) -a0 -i -v
3-edit /etc/uucp/Devices and add Direct device-file - speed direct
4-cu -s speed -l device-file -m dir
and that's all. by the way, I love Solaris
