pkginfo may not give you info on Oracle is on the system.
You can look for the startup script in /etc/init.d/.
You can look for the oratab file - it is in /var/opt/oracle/.
There is a difference between loading Oracle on a system and running Oracle on a system. A person can have Oracle loaded but not running.
