Operating Systems HP-UX Gnome desktop for HP-UX 11i v3 (Itanium) Post 303045517 by MadeInGermany on Sunday 29th of March 2020 02:11:27 PM

A recent Gnome is very hard to build, because it depends on a dozen Linux-specifics: glibc, glib, xrandr, gvfs/fuse, dbus, systemd.
I was surprised that Oracle has done the effort for Solaris 11. E.g. they provide a gvfs clone (that does not need fuse), systemd services (that work with init and smf), and much more, just for the sole purpose: support Gnome.
I cannot believe that HPE does the same.
If there is any Gnome then it is certainly an older Gnome version (e.g. Gnome 1.4).
Sorry, I have lost my HPE account and cannot dig further...
