that was my first option. but the whole goal here was to conceal the bash code. so i figure if i can embed it into C, i'll be able to hide the code. but if C is calling the script, the script will be open for everyone to read.

as i was typing this, something else occurred to me. i'm thinking, i can encode the script using a password. tell C to decode the script using the password i put in the C code. and then C can call the script after script has been decoded.

dont know if that makes sense.

NAME

       script - make record of a terminal session

SYNOPSIS

       script [-a] [filename]

DESCRIPTION

       The  script  utility  makes a record of everything printed on your screen. The record is written to filename. If no file name is given, the
       record is saved in the file typescript. See WARNINGS.

       The script command forks and creates a sub-shell, according to the value of $SHELL, and records the text from this session. The script ends
       when the forked shell exits or when Control-d is typed.

OPTIONS

       The following option is supported:

       -a	Appends the session record to filename, rather than overwriting it.

NOTES

       script places everything that appears on the screen in filename, including prompts.
