Not able to mount NFS share on client side

Yes, I know that. You need to change that to the client's IP and your problem is solved. That field for any host's IP or hostname or a range of IPs of hosts which are allowed to mount the share. So change it to client's IP. for more info about exports file see "man exports".

I have enabled nfs on a windows server and the shares has given read/write access to it to all the users. I would like to mount it on around 10 different solaris boxes with different versions of solaris.

There doesnt seem to be a problem with the sharing.

I am trying to solve the following problem. I have a process on machine A running as root that needs to mount and access an NFS partition being exported from machine B.
However, I cannot have 'no_root_squash' option given on B, hence I see NFS requests from machine A end up as 'nobody'... (1 Reply)

showmount - show mount information for an NFS server SYNOPSIS
showmount [ -adehv ] [ --all ] [ --directories ] [ --exports ] [ --help ] [ --version ] [ host ] DESCRIPTION
showmount queries the mount daemon on a remote host for information about the state of the NFS server on that machine. With no options showmount lists the set of clients who are mounting from that host. The output from showmount is designed to appear as though it were pro- cessed through ``sort -u''. OPTIONS
-a or --all List both the client hostname or IP address and mounted directory in host:dir format. This info should not be considered reliable.
