I would agree if you have never done solaris administration before, however i have quite a few years of basic exposure to the solaris 10 O/S but each course offers things i need but on their own a lot is just going over again what i have already learnt through experience.

I got dropped in it being sole administrator of solaris 10 web servers on zfs file systems set up in LDom's, doesn't sound too complex but when you haven't set it up or used zfs or LDom's before troubleshooting becomes a lot more complicated, there are certain issues which i can resolve by work arounds (such as rebooting) but i would like to have the knowledge and understanding that would allow me to fix the issues at the root of the problem.

Ideally yes i would do seperately, but i dont think it would be too bad considering my knowledge if i did it together.

install-solaris - install the Solaris operating system SYNOPSIS
install-solaris install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation, install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer. The following minimum requirements for physical memory dictate which features are available during installation: For SPARC machines: 128 MB Minimum physical memory for all installation types 128 MB Minimum physical memory required for windowing system 384 MB Minimum physical memory required for graphical-based installation For x86 machines: 256 MB Minimum physical memory for all installation types 256 MB Minimum physical memory required for windowing system 512 MB Minimum physical memory required for graphical-based installation In some cases, even if the minimum physical memory is present, available virtual memory after system startup can limit the number of fea- tures available. install-solaris exists only on the Solaris installation media (CD or DVD) and should be invoked only from there.
