well we both assume the best solution always is through a given command - through a shell. Most users of OSs other than Microsoft's feel this way. If not ,then all system administrators feel this way,and that is a given.

If you have a Desktop ,then right click on the screen and choose Terminal. Or go to the Applications menu and find the one called 'terminal'


There ,when you open it give the command given by itkamaraj .

find . -type f -name "dogs"

try that and we'll take it from there.
