Yes sorry for the confusion...the first sub directory is med_nathon.johnson/pp155/1/HOSPCHK020111 there is a period between the nathon and the johnson...which isn't consistent with the other sub directories...some have no period just first name last name

When you are dealing with ASCII files it easy to check on line endings type. You can just use the file command. You are not always lucky enough to be dealing with ASCII files. Mails from Sendmail are ignoring line endings, when I try to send email with attachment. I have tried to specify the font in the html but line endings are still ignored. I also tried unix2dos, still no luck.
