mail and mailx are not synonymous in unix though some versions of SUNOS do interpret the "-s" switch.
We could do with knowing the exact Operating System version. This might even be a Berkeley SUNOS?

I have a requirement to send email to a group once I have done some tests. I tried the following from command line:-
