Hi All,
We can find the maximum of open file descriptors in hold with respect to a process.
As default size was 256 (with getrlimit) and the hard limt was 65536
I tried changing the limit to 1024(with setrlimit)
successfully changed the limit

i' d like to use an awk script to automate the ripping of cds : here's how it works :
- i first create a file named songs.txt containing the name of the songs
- the scripts extracts the tracks of a cd with cdparanoia
- the scripts saves the contents of the dir with ls (ls > list.txt)

We are on Linux Suse and the character set is en_US.UTF-8. Our requirement is to replace this special character ¿ with a space. When we open the file containing this string using VI editor we see the same character as <92>

NAME
grub-render-label - generate a .disk_label for Apple Macs.
SYNOPSIS
grub-render-label [OPTION...] [OPTIONS]
DESCRIPTION
Render Apple .disk_label.
-b, --bgcolor=COLOR
use COLOR for background
-c, --color=COLOR
use COLOR for text
-f, --font=FILE
use FILE as font (PF2).
-i, --input=FILE
read text from FILE.
-o, --output=FILE
set output filename. Default is STDOUT
-t, --text=STRING
set the label to render
-v, --verbose
print verbose messages.
-?, --help
give this help list
--usage
give a short usage message
-V, --version
print program version
