Grep Help
HI All,
Neeed help on grep lines from the file.
I have one file abc.txt. In that "capture above two lines" will be present. I want to capture only those above 2 lines in other file.
for Eg:
hi this is xxxx.
how r the things going on.
employee no is 1022
Need to update in file.
ok
capture above two lines
hi this is yyyy.
how r the things going on.
it has been updated. things looks fine.
employee no is 1023
Need to update in file.
ok
capture above two lines
Now I want the output as below in the file:
employee no is 1022
employee no is 1023
Could anyone suggest on this. If my question is not clear, please let me know.

Hello,
I'm working on unix with grep (GNU grep) 2.5.1. I'm going through some of the newer regex syntax using Regular Expression Reference - Advanced Syntax a guide.
ls -aLl /bin | grep "\(x\)"
Which works, just highlights 'x' where ever, when ever.
