For the record book...

The solaris output from the groups command is different from the linux output:

linux:
Code:
[root@hostname ~]# groups root
root : root bin daemon sys adm disk wheel

Solaris:
Code:
[root@hostname ~]# groups root
root other bin sys adm uucp mail tty lp nuucp daemon

A simple change of i=3 to i=1, and "Bob's your uncle"!
