Top Forums UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers running command prompt executable file in shell script Post 302307009 by pludi on Tuesday 14th of April 2009 11:11:40 AM
Quick and dirty, with no guarantee that it will work like this:
Code:
mplayer /path/to/wav
sleep 1
xmessage -center "A problem has occurred"

If you want something more sophisticated, learn the shell first.
