As far as I know, VMware Player can't change any hardware settings at all, and VMware Workstation can't change the size of the harddisk too. You could create a new HD, and have Windows mount it in a directory instead of using a drive letter.

If we declare a pointer say a char pointer, we need to allocate adequate memory space.
