hello sir,
I know abt the "find" command.But it can be used to search only in the current directory. But my requirement asks me "anywhere in the given system".
So I need to use LOCATE command.Now can you please tell me how to get a unique search........

I am aware of the command locate/slocate. But when I try to search the file which is located in /tmp. Its not able to get it. I tried by updating the database also with the command updatedb.
Is there any consern that the command 'locate' dont check /tmp???

Ipmi-locate probes and displays information about a BMC device, such as device addresses or IPMI version support. Ipmi-locate is sometimes
