On my systems there is a message on the system console at startup saying the ":0" is starting up.

Can you point an X terminal at the machine?

install-solaris install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation, install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
