Installing Skunkware
I download xv-3.10a.VOLS.tar from caldera.com and I untarred the file in my home directory ran custom at the command prompt and tried to install the software.

In the middle of the install I got this message:
Error extracting from streaming archive
Error reading cpio archive
Bad magic number in cpio header

I was looking on caldera.com for help but they were focusing on getting these messages with doing stuff with floppies.

I am running Sco Openserver 5.0.5

Does anyone know some work arounds for this problem. Or some other way to install this file.

Installing memory

I need to install new memory on the server on a AIX server. I want to know what are the steps/commands in doing so. As far as I know I can use bosboot -a; shutdown -Fr. NAME

       grub-install - install GRUB on your drive

SYNOPSIS

       grub-install [OPTION] install_device

DESCRIPTION

       Install GRUB on your drive.

       -h, --help
	      print this message and exit

       -v, --version
	      print the version information and exit

       --root-directory=DIR
	      install GRUB images under the directory DIR instead of the root directory

       --grub-shell=FILE
	      use FILE as the grub shell

       --no-floppy
	      do not probe any floppy drive

       --force-lba
	      force GRUB to use LBA mode even for a buggy BIOS

       --recheck
	      probe a device map even if it already exists

       INSTALL_DEVICE can be a GRUB device name or a system device filename.

       grub-install  copies GRUB images into the DIR/boot directory specfied by --root-directory, and uses the grub shell to install grub into the
       boot sector.
