Make sure you have the all of the latest CDE patches installed, especially if you are running Solaris 7 and NIS. There have been a couple of CDE bug reports on this issue (mostly in Solaris 7 and earlier) and the fixes were rolled into CDE patches.

I have prtg set up to monitor a sun server. I can see the network statistics (I didn't set up this server). I would like to minitor the CPUs as well, using PRTG. The Sun Fire 880 Dynamic Reconfiguration daemon, sf880drd, is part of the PCI and system bus hotplug framework. sf880drd starts at boot time. It has no configuration options and does not report any system status. sf880drd implements the Sun Fire 880 console-less system administration (per-slot pushbuttons and LED status indicators).
