Smile Introducing myself... :D

Hey guys, I am Shelby! :-) I am 13 years old and i love Unix. When i was about 6 i was introduced to computers, because almost all of my family is comprised of artists, i used macs at a very early age. I generally sat on the computer until the time i was about 10 when i walked into a laptop store and they let me help them out, then i got a 10 year old IBM Thinkpad that had Windows XP (PIII, 128MB RAM, not pretty.) I got utterly sick of Windows, especially because i had used Mac all my life, so i installed XUbuntu when i was 10 and got started. Ever since then i have loved nothing but Linux & Unix. Since then i have learned HTML, TCP/IP, CSS, PHP, and a lot of hardware and other stuff, and call me arrogant, but i just wanted to introduce myself and see if anybody wanted to be my friend.

I like your avatar. You had me thinking you were running Linux on a Mac. Kinda redundant I think. Then I read you post.

Welcome aboard, friend.

Haha, yes. that would be nice - unfortunately i only have Macs that are >3 years old and almost all Linux distros for the PPC architecture are terrible as far as im concerned, with the lack of browser plugins, support, applications and functionality, its just too much trouble, but Mac OS X Leopard has enough Unixy goodness for me. ;-)
