Hi Im not sure that i post that Thread here on the right place but i hope someone can help me.
Im searching for a new Notebook with Linux or Unix as system. Im looking for a Notebook with the following components: Intel Core 2 for mobile min 2GB RAM 15 " Display none reflective ATI or NVidia Graphiccard. I want to use the Laptop for programming, running an VMWare Server and playing my old Civ.4. I have also thought about a MACBook Pro. Hope to get some tips. Greetings MagicMike |

It costs a leg and hand. But I'd imagine if you flip this open and start playing unix commands when flying on business class all the pretty airline stewardess will gawk at what you doing curiously. LOL |

I use an old PowerBook G4 and find that a UNIX based OS makes System Administration very efficient. And Mac OS X is pretty
Seriously though, it performs well for a PPC and my experience with the dual-core Intel machines (I have a Mac Mini) has proved them to be more than capable of running VMware Fusion for virtualisation. |
