October 12, 2009, Columbus Day (a national/federal holiday) in the US.

That's why a bit slower today than normal, for a Monday

Japan is now our third single largest country in terms of visitors (behind the US and India).

Tokyo is the single largest city, in terms of visits to this site, BTW, in this order:

  10. Singapore

I believe it is also national day in Spain, but I'm not sure if it is a holiday or not.

Well it's not a public holiday in the UK (I'm stuck in work, grrr) but completely coincidentally I mentioned Mr Columbus in my weekly story this Friday - what are the odds?
