A little bit of XMAS fun...

Hi all...

On FB there are ridiculously simple arithmetic memes using images as numbers.

It surprises me how many people get them wrong. Then someone I know posted this baby.

So I decided to repost on FB and label it as:- "This will sort out the men from the boys."

Have fun guys, the mathematicians on here should get it straight away.

A bit of XMAS fun...

Bazza.

OK, first establish the constants:

beer-bottle=10, hamburger=5, beer-glass=2, hot dog=x

So we have the integral from 0 to infinity of 10sin(x) / 2x dx. This (the so-called "Dirichlet-Integral") is an improper integral. As the integral from 0 to infinity of sin( \omega ) / \omega d\omega = \pi/2 we get 5 \pi / 2 or, after applying the linguistic uncertainty-relation ("pi" => "pie"):

two pies and a half.

Hi bakunin...

You devil... ;o)

Absolutely correct, I expected the mathematicians to get it...

EDIT:
None of the people I know even attempted it. I knew it was beyond their understanding but these same people attempt the ultra-easy ones, and, often get them wrong as they don't know about operator order..
