script to load data from csv file

hello

i want a script to load the data line by line from a csv file into a mysql
table

For a Perl solution, look at the DBI module.

load data

It is possible to use: load data local

Please be aware that you need to be able to rcp, ftp, scp the csv file to the server and give the user needing to import the file permissions for this action.

If you know some PHP, you can, pretty easily, put together something in a few minutes using fgetcsv() or str_getcsv().
