UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

It may sounds too easy but appreciate any help on this..

i have a file with the below details:

Please find the locked pernr details for the Time evaluation

Personnel number could not be locked
Person rejected: 04552737
Personnel number could not be locked
Person rejected: 034576674
*******************************************
Now i need to extract only the "numbers" that are present in this file to a seperate file.. Can some one suggest a way to do it

Please note that whe i say numbers it means explicity numbers only. I tried grep with regular expressions grep '[0-9][0-9]*' but it gives the entire line.

awk '/^Person rejected/{print $NF}'

Word "Person rejected:" may not be there everytime with the number.

So bifurcating the line based on "Person rejected:" does not seem to a good option to me..Instead i would prefer the line to be searched on basis of the number.

Hope i made my case clear

if the numbers are always at the end of the line this will work.
