Question Cd-rw

I have :
CD-RW Drive (ASUS) &
DVD-RW Drive (ASUS)

I tried to copy a CD by using :
KOnCD
KreatCD &
BurnIT

But, I couldn't Smilie

Any idea?
Using (SuSE 8.0)

I can mount these two devices under 'Konqueror' and read CDs but, those applications don't recognize them at all !!! Smilie


I think I should have a (reader device) & a (recorder device) but, under these titles there is nothing!

Try this link at SuSE. It's in english but if you read german, the site mentions that it has many more entries in german than any other language so that may be a way to find more information.

Bug Cdrecord

The programs you listed use cdrecord. To fix your problem, you need to setup cdrecord to point to your cd-rw. Do a man cdrecord to guide you through setup. By default, cdrecord uses a scsi bus to access your cd-rw. You will need to change this to ide or whatever your system uses. cdrecord should be located @ /usr/bin/cdrecord. Good luck!
