HP-UX recycle

Hi,

I am new to HP-UX environment. Could someone help me giving commands to recycle the server and how to go to single user mode.

Use the shutdown command. Warning: do not use init. HP does not set up init to run the shutdown scripts. See the shutdown man page.

And for booting single user (I do hope you have a console...)

Interrupt the boot process then choose from which device you wish to boot
At the question "interact with IPL > " yes
at isl prompt:
ISL > hpux -is

If you have an IA64 system rather PA-RISC, the boot process is different. You interact with the EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) shell.
