Could you give more information? We use SSH (secure shell) to transfer files across a cryptographic channel between Windows hosts and UNIX hosts.

but i've already found a prog' called putty.exe

Putty.exe does not use crypto and sends the passwords in clear text, doesn't it? You asked for a 'secure' way to tranfer files. I don't recall putty.exe being secure in the traditional since of the word 'secure'.

Putty can use ssh and telnet protocols.
