"find" command clarification
Hi everyone,
I have a very simple question to ask :
How can I locate the files created the last "n" days?
(the find command has 3 options : -atime, -ctime, -mtime, but none of these returns the newlly created files ... am I wrong?)

-mtime -n should give you files that were last modified less than n days.

Tools Find Find in Man
do a man find . It will give you a description on each of these options as well as some examples.

No Unix filesystem that I am aware of stores the creation time of a file - only the last modified time.

I have a bunch of random character lines like ABCEDFG. I want to find all lines with "A" and then change any "E" to "X" in the same line. ALL lines with "A" will have an "X" somewhere in it. Problem with "find" and "grep" command
