Data Postfix Restart
I am really really new on UNIX system. I am trying to update our e-mail list. I added/deleted new members at etc/aliases but e-amil always got old e-mail lists. I reloaded postmaster but does not seem to be working. Anybody has any idea?

You need to run the command `newaliases` to rebuild the database.

Would you go little more on that, assuming I am a dummies and newbie.

Just run the command 'newaliases' in your shell. Read the manpage for the command. 'man newaliases'. There's also 'postalias' which does the same.

Hi guys One of our clients have a problem with sending email to a certain domain. No matter what we try, the mails just dont get delivered. hi when I telnet to my machine on port 25 and send an email to myself, the machine sends the email to the old corporate mail server instead of the new corporate mail server. how to change that so that any email sent from my linux box goes directly to the new mail server? thx (2 Replies)

I can send email. I just can't receive email I am getting and error Permanent Failure: 554_Transaction_failed. All the services are running. I can telnet to 110 25 143. I am also running Imap.
