ISDN on Linux..will it work?

Hi everyone!

I going to change from a 56k modem to a ISDN connection and was wondering if this will work under Linux and what i would need to get it up and running ? (on Mandrake 8.0)..

You may very well already have everything you need, as long as the kernel recognizes your ISDN device.

Look about 1/2 way down the page at the "Internet Wizards" section.

I looked there and my kernel supports ISDN..

Finally i can reap the benefits of the digital network that is know as ISDN.. Smilie

Phaelanx,

ISDN works perfectly under Linux. The problem we did ran into was that linux did not support active ISDN modems.
( maybe this is no issue anymore ). There are good faqs floating around to get it working.
Is see that you are a Dutch member. As Belgian member, i had the luck that there is a Belgian Linux FAQ.
It covers ISDN configuration for Belgium. This may also be of use to you.
